Prim Asiimwe announces she is leaving Galaxy FM

Prim Asiimwe Aliguma announced Tuesday afternoon that she is leaving Galaxy F.M.

Better known as Prim Asiimwe, the media personality has been at the Kasanga-based radio station since 2013.

Asiimwe, who is also a model and influencer, said she would be hosting her last show on Thursday, April 27.

She said she joined the station while she was still a student and has played multiple roles at the station.

"I'M LEAVING 100.2 GALAXY FM ZZINA!" Asiimwe introduced her statement shared on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

"I have worked with Galaxy FM since 2013 as Producer and lead Presenter for Evening Rush and Galaxy Top 20 Countdown.

"Along the way, I did add on PR duties for the Station.

"This has been a life changing [sic] experience full of growth and learning. I'm very grateful for the opportunity given to me by Galaxy FM.

"It is time to move on now and I'm very excited for what the future holds!!

"I'll do my final show on Galaxy FM this Thursday, 27.04.23, 3-7PM. Thank you all for the love & support."

Prim Asiimwe did not reveal what she would be venturing into next.

A first runner-up in the 2012 Miss Uganda beauty pageant, Asiimwe also uploaded three minute and four-second video on Facebook in which she partly said: “This has been an amazing journey, full of growth and fulfillment because radio is my passion. Radio is what I love to do and I’m glad that Galaxy FM gave me an opportunity to do what I truly love to do.”

According to publicly available information, Prim Asiimwe is a mother of one daughter she had with the Comedy Store founder Alex Muhangi.
