Musician Rema Namakula and her husband Hamza, over the weekend held an aqiqah ceremony for their three-month-old daughter, Aaliyah. This ceremony is always carried out by Muslim parents as a sign of religiously dedicating their children to God.
Last year, singer Rema Namakula and her husband Dr Hamza Ssebunya welcomed a bouncing baby girl. Rema gave birth on November 7th, which was a Sunday morning.

As always, Rema Namakula through her social media platforms, shared pictures of Hamza holding the Aaliyah and captioned it with the words, “If he looks at his baby like this, please give him more babies. Ma sha Allah. #akiika.”
Akiika is an Islamic religious ceremony that is done in appreciation of God’s gift of a child. When Rema introduced Hamza back in 2019, the after-party stories were about when she would get pregnant and give Hamza a child.
When she got pregnant, Rema kept it so private and it was only known to close friends and relatives till when she finally gave birth.
It was until November 7th, 2021, when she gave birth that she shared on social media silhouette photoshoot pictures of herself, her husband Hamza and the baby bump.
After the Akika over the weekend, she flooded social media with a number of pictures of her and her husband, baby Aaliyah, and Aamaal Musuuza, her daughter she had from her past relationship with fellow musician Eddy Kenzo. Aaliyah is Hamza’s first child.
However, Hamza has always come out and expressed his undying love for Aamal Musuuza. In 2020, when he graduated, part of the speech at his graduation party at Mestil Hotel concentrated on his love for Aamal.
“I so much love Aamaal and she is so bright and she will one day be a winner. I love you Aamaal and I will forever defend you,” said Hamza
