Sasha reveals wedding with Canary Mugume cost about half a billion shillings

Ferguson, who got married to Mugume in 2021, revealed this while appearing on Sanyuka TV in an interview with Anna Talia Oze.

"Our wedding cost about 400 million. When we were still young, my husband told me he would give me the wedding of my dreams, and that was around 2016," Sanyuka TV quoted her via Twitter.

She also revealed that she met her husband in 2013 when he had come to apply for a job at T.V. station she was working with.

They exchanged pleasantries on that day and later talked via Facebook.

At the time, Sasha Ferguson was working with WBS TV where she hosted a teens show and Mugume was with Buzz Events Company, a brainchild of Julius Kyazze, the cofounder of Swangz Avenue.

Canary Mugume and Sasha Ferguson, born Fiona Nagirinya -- wedded on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Miracle Center Cathedral, Rubaga where Pastor Joseph Kayanja officiated the service.

Their wedding ceremony was attended by very powerful figures in the country, including businessman Sudhir Ruparelia and Col. Edith Nakalema, the senior presidential advisor on Anticorruption and head of the State House Investors Protection Unit.

They welcomed their first child, a boy, in February of this year.

Canary Mugume, now a news anchor, reporter and talk show host, was born in 1995.

He went to Mbarara Municipal Primary School for his primary education, Mbarara Secondary School and Lutembe International School for his 'O' and 'A' level education respectively.

He holds a degree in information technology and computer engineering from the International University of East Africa.
