"I want the battle to be on the same grounds," said Cindy born Cinderella Sanyu Munyonjo, during a media interview, noting that using the same stage will rule out excuses.

"Because they may erect two stages and give one better sound... something might go wrong. I want the stage to be the same."

The Boom Party hitmaker, who will be facing off with Queen Sheebah on September 15 in a showdown organised by Victoria University Kampala, said the aforementioned will rule out excuses after the fact.

She said the battle should be limited to live performances, adding that the battle is not about their personal beef but for the good of the industry.

"It's not personal because you've never heard that Sheebah slapped me," she said. "Do you know that it's only men who have battled in this industry? So, as women, we want to break that record and open the door for females... but I am also tired of being compared to other artistes."

Cindy said her music is ever-green, like the kind Afrigo Band produces.

Cindy said she was initially interested in doing a solo show, but after the offer, she is now going on the drawing board to plan again.

The highly billed concert is being organized by Victoria University, where Sheebah currently serves as its brand ambassador.

Lawrence Muganga, the University Vice Chancellor confirmed on August 1 that the concert battle will be taking place on September 15 as earlier communicated.

Over the past weeks, there has been confusion after both artists announced the same date and same venue for their separate concerts.

The announcements sparked a fierce social media fight between the two artists and their fans, which even gravitated to petty name-calling.
