The news that the songstress was set to lose her house first came out in October 2022.
She even cried during media interviews, saying she was sad because she had started losing her assets.
Some reports indicate that Kusasira, a senior presidential advisor on Kampala, had borrowed the money in 2017, but the Covid lockdown made it hard to service it.
While Kusasira said that she may lose the house, she was also quick to add that she is now debt-free.
"I saw people saying that they've taken her house. Blah, blah, blah, but that's not important," said Kusasira while speaking to Spark TV.
"That's why I didn't say anything. There are things that don't add value to me. Saying that Kusasira is in debt, what's wrong with that? Is there anyone who doesn't borrow?
"Everyone borrows, it's just that our debts are different... What I can tell you right now is that I'm okay. I'm no longer in debt. I'm fine.
"They may take the house, but I have other things that can support me. But what I can assure you is that I'm no longer in debt... anyone who borrows can afford to service a loan. A bank can't give money to a person who can't.
"That's why when you go to a bank they ask for security... I thank God that I'm not in debt. I'm okay."
Reports indicate that Catherine Kusasira borrowed Shs100 million in 2017, but she wasn't able to service it fully. She was only able to refund Shs80 million.
