Using a bread van is a big upgrade for us - Kataleya and Kandle tell Lukoma

In June, Lukoma clapped back at the singing duo after they mocked her music career and in one of her comments, she said they move in a van that looks like that that carry bread.

“You are still in a band of two; you are still traveling in a bread van, you haven't achieved a fraction of what I have at my age. You cannot question what I have done in 10 years when you have only moved one ***ing year,” she said.

Speaking to the media at the launch of their EP titled Call It Love, Kandle said: "We are not ashamed of our journey. I used to hawk clothes. So, if I can now sit in this van you say is for carrying bread, I didn't have it. I'm so grateful and humbled."

Kateleya chimed in: "We don't have any problem with Lukoma. We are women and we support each other. Maybe she got annoyed, as any human being, we all get angry, but I don't have any problem with her, and I'm of myself."

In that June interview, Lukoma also made fun of Kateleya's teeth.

Kandle, speaking about Kateleya, said: "She is a queen!"

Kateleya affirmed: "I'm a queen!"

Said Kandle: "And very pretty."

The beef started when Hellen Lukoma was asked to offer advice to the duo, with the interviewer citing her experience working in singing groups.

During that August 2022 interview, Hellen Lukoma said: "I don't have advice for them. They started alone, why should I give them advice? Am I the one who brought them? Am I their mother? Let them do their thing."
