Evelyn Namulondo was already escaping from home to enjoy disco as early as Primary Seven.

Namulondo spent a significant part of her formative years with her grandmother.

One day while on P.7. vacation, her granny sent her to collect a charcoal clamp.

The charcoal was still hot, so when she caught it with bare hands, it burnt her and she run to the nearest trading center to dance.

Her grandmother was annoyed when she didn't bring the charcoal. She called her mother to come pick her up the next day.
