"There is a musician who told my manager that they had switched from a Benz to a Vitz... Irene is a Benz and I'm a Vitz... surprisingly, a year later, that musician came asking for a collabo," said Vinka in a recent interview.
So, when Toniks, real name Allan Ampaire, came asking for a collabo from Vinka, she refused.
Vinka said she had taken Allan Toniks' comments personally at the time.
"When he asked for it, I said, he said I was a Vitz, I'm not going to be comfortable doing it," said Vinka. "But I think it was emotions by then, so I didn't do it. But I moved on from that. I matured."
It's important to note that Allan Toniks and Irene Ntale are friends. At one point, there were rumours that they were dating, but Toniks denied that.
Irene Ntale was formerly managed by Vinka at Swangz Avenue and she quit the record label in 2017. The end was acrimonious.
