Returning to the big stage for the first time in several years, Chandiru says was as easy as she had hoped.

She described the moments leading up to the concert at the Kampala Sheraton as walking into a UACE examination room.

Despite weeks of preparations, Chadiru said she got scared and sick due to stage fright.

I got serious dios (diarrhea),” she said in an interview with Shamim Mayanja on Friday.

“I was scared and had a severe running stomach. I couldn't eat anything and even if I drank water it just came right through. That is when I realised it was stage fright. I went to a room and prayed and got a bit better.

Deep inside, she says, she knew she had to do the show.

When the technician came to me and inserted the IEM (earpiece) and handed me the mic, the lights went off and it felt like I was going to UACE exams.”

Thankfully, however, she was able to shake off the fight and put on a mesmerizing show that earned her and her group a lot of praise.

The concert on Saturday, June 22 marked the return of the legendary singing trio after over 16 years of being a part and running solo careers.

The show, put together by Talent Africa Group has been months in the making.

Parking up the Sheraton gardens to the brim, the show pulled scores of A-listers in the music industry including Karma Music’s Sheebah Karungi, who last year had a fierce music battle with Cindy at Kololo Independence grounds.
