Do not break her heart - Jovia Mutesi’s mother urges Kyabazinga

The parents of the new Queen of Busoga, HRH Jovia Mutesi appealed to her husband and Monarch, Wilberforce Nadiope Gabula to take good care of her and the newly started life journey.

Florence Bayoole, the queen’s mother gave an impassioned speech at the royal wedding reception held at the Igenge Palace in Jinja, in which she implored the king to love and protect her child.

Baaba Kyabazinga, we just gave you our girl. Any girl in this area that is named Mutesi is a beloved child in the house. Our daughter is very valuable to us,” said Mrs Bayoole.

She has been our flower, we ask that you continue to love her and not break her heart because when you break her heart, you will have broken us too.”

Mrs. Bayoole hailed her daughter as a beautiful and intelligent woman and a perfect fit for the new mother of Busoga.

Her beauty is not just external; she has many more things that make her even more attractive,” she said.

The kingdom of Busoga, we have given you our child; we ask that you add more on her and not hurt her in any way because we know that he is a good girl. We have trained her; she is able and we know that she will raise you and carry the kingdom forward.

Speaking at the wedding reception, the Minister for East African Affairs, Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga, who is one of the close friends and mentors of King Nadiope, assured the queen's family that she would be loved.

I want to assure the parents of Jovia, that she is in good hands; we shall love and take good care of her,” said Kadaga.

On his part, the King Busoga King promised to love his wife, “until the Lord takes us from this world.
