Lwanga showed gratitude to Bajjo who helped him set up the Purple Skills Klinic, a training institute that equips young people with different entrepreneurial skills.

Lwanga says Bajjo came to his rescue, helping him purchase all the computers being used in the institute.

That was shortly after he was humiliated by a businessman whom he had sought out for a partnership.

Sitting in the (unnamed) tycoon’s office, Lwanga says he was mortified as he was told off for "chasing the wrong goals."

He told me he was baffled by how broke celebrities like myself are always running around trying to help other people. He said charity should be left to wealthy people,” Lwanga recounted in an interview.

I felt so belittled…it damaged me, but I did not lose focus because I know that helping someone else you don't need to have a lot of money.”

Leaving the businessman’s office, Lwanga says, he reached out to his friend Bajjo and told him about his project.

Bajjo, he says, agreed to meet him up and gave him cash to purchase the computers they needed for the institute.

Bajjo who has never even come to this place is the one who bought all those computers…and yet he is not the wealthiest person in this country,” he said.

"But he understands, that supporting this one initiative can help elevate the lives of so many other people."

Lwanga says he considers his institute (which recently had its first graduation) as his biggest life achievement because it helped him understand that amassing monetary wealth is not as fulfilling as helping other people.
