Kenzo was among the first people to send out hearty congratulations to the youthful politician after the news broke of her appointment as Minister of State for Minerals, in the Thursday evening cabinet reshuffle.
On the post seen and liked by thousands, commentators went straight back to the rumours which first came out last year about the two dating.
Some social media users referred to the MP as “Mrs Eddy Kenzo” and others as his “wife to be”
The rumours were first spread online last year by one Rodrigo Matyansi, who claimed that the two were dating secretly and that she had even gifted him a new car.
Nyamutoro responded nonchalantly to the post, neither denying nor accepting the claims.
Later on, however, she clarified that she was not in a relationship with Kenzo, although she admitted knowing him for many years, long before she joined parliament.
At an official level, Nyamutoro has worked with Kenzo to push for law reforms on copyright in Uganda.
She presented on the floor of Parliament a petition written by the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) which is headed by Kenzo.
Hon Nyamutoro is the National female youth Member of parliament.
She is one of the youngest ministers, having graduated from Makerere in 2017, where she also served as Vice Guild President.
