One of the event’s highlights that sparked curiosity was the size of the stage which appeared to span several dozen meters in length.
Last week, Watoto Church celebrated 40 years of operation in Uganda with a big gospel concert at the Kololo ceremonial grounds in Kampala.

A number of social media users went online to ask whether this indeed was the biggest stage ever erected in the country.
Confirmed
Fenon Events, who were behind the set-up have now confirmed that this was in fact, the biggest stage ever to be built in the history of Ugandan events and concerts.
The event organisers revealed yesterday that the Watoto 40-year celebration stage was 102 metres wide, more than tripple the size of most ordinary concert stages which usually stretch about 30 metres.
The Watoto stage is said to have accommodated 800 people including the church band, the choir, the performers and the worship team and enabled dancers to showcase with enough space to move back to back.
Besides the Watoto stage, Fenon Events has built relatively big stages and for most concerts, they make it a point for the stage to be big enough to accommodate the artists, band and other performers.
This has been witnessed at concerts of big artists such as Tiwa Savage, Gwanga Mujje, Kizz Daniel and Ray G among others.
