Lutaaya this week gave an explosive interview where he admitted feeling disrespected when he saw his woman cosying up to her former boyfriend and father of three, Diamond Platnumz.
Diamond and Zari raised eyebrows last week when they appeared in a video vibing to his new song 'Mapozi'.
The video captured Diamond and Zari walking hand in hand, smiling for the cameras.
The incident is now known to have badly dented Zari’s relationship with Shakib as she confirmed later in an interview, that he confronted her about it back home.
Speaking for the first time about the matter, Shakib told Tanzanian blogger Mange Kimambi how he was devastated by the incident.
While all along he has been amiable about Zari meeting up and sharing moments with his baby daddy Diamond and their children, Shakib said this time they took it too far.
“There are certain videos that go beyond co-parenting,” Shakib said in a teaser for the interview shared by Kimambi.
Shakib said, however, that he was more gutted by how Diamond’s girlfriend and fellow artist Zuchu was devastated seeing him with his ex.
It is understood that both Zuchu, Shakib and Zari’s children were present when the video was shot.
Zuchu was standing with the children at the moment.
Shakib says the talented Tanzania songstress, with whom they have had conversions together, was clearly heartbroken during the video shoot.
“I don’t know how she felt but I felt bad for her,” he said.
Later, Zuchu took to Instagram to confirm that she was breaking it off with Damond.
She posted the following message on Friday, February 23, 2024:
“Hello fan-milly. I had to post this to clear my conscience. From today, Diamond and I are no longer together. I know this has been our thing, but as hard as it is leaving someone that you love, I pray to God that this is the last time to start a new life.
Love is respect and unfortunately, that has eluded us. As for him, we still have work together. I wish him and his family the absolute best. We have had a perfect life but I believe this is no longer sustainable.
This year, I have taught myself to say no to anything that doesn't give me joy.
All said and done, I see myself starting on a new page of life filled with happiness, freedom and peace. As for now, work goes on and I am single.”
In response, Diamond rushed to beg Zuchu for forgiveness
He hired a Private jet and flew from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam to beg Zuchu for forgiveness, showing up in one of her shows and going down on his knees.
