Ugandan socialite and media personality, Sheilah Gashumba is not on talking terms with her dad, Frank Gashumba.

The two have not talked since last year when her private videos were leaked online by a hacker, according to the 28-year-old.

I haven't spoken to him since July,” Sheila told the IMO Podcast this week.

She said she was unhappy with the way her father handled her leaked video situation.

When the images surfaced, kicking up a storm online, Sheila says her father was initially supportive as he even tried to get her help with paperwork from Airtel Uganda, to help with the investigations.

Later on, however, she says, he picked up the phone and shouted at her, which left her upset.

At the time, she was with her boyfriend Rickman in Turkey. They had filmed the footage of their private moment about four days earlier.

He (dad) called and instead of being empathetic, he was just shouting, and I'm like you cannot be shouting at me in a situation like this!” she said.

Frank Gashumba memorably spoke out angrily about his daughter’s leaked images, blaming her mother for raising her poorly.

He reminisced during a six-month study course in South Africa, that Sheilah’s mother commended her to get her first body tattoo.

Frank Gashumba further expressed his disappointment with Sheilah for adorning her beautiful skin with tattoos adding that she will pay a price in the long run.

Sheila, however, says she expected her parents to be on her side in such a trying moment.

She noted nonetheless, that her mother was very supportive through the ordeal, advising her to move on with life.

“My mom told me, Sheilah, people have been trying to do this, and it is done,” she recalled.

Clarifying how the videos were leaked, she said, the hacker swapped her Ugandan sim-cards as was able to log into her Snapchat.

"He simply clicked on 'forgot password' and was sent a new code,” she said.

The hacker, Sheilla says, never contacted her to ask for ransom.
