Jowy Landa happy with her weight gain progress

The talented young artist is known to be one of the scrawniest singers in the county. But recently he says she’s grown tired of her body weight and started working toward gaining some weight.

“I am happy so far... people are telling me that I now have some cheeks. I think my booty is next,” she said.

“I want to gain weight but not so excessively. I just want to add a few pounds because when you are skinny, people imagine things about you. They might say you are using (drugs) because that its usually what is associated with weight loss.”

The ‘Wire Singer’ also says she’s worked on most of the things that used to cause her stress and now she’s enjoying peace of mind.

Landa, real names Joan Namugerwa joined the music industry in 2018 when she was still a secondary school student.

Her career, however, has been dotted with a lot of ups and downs, including incidents where men have tried to take advantage of her sexually.

To this day having worked under numerous managements, Landa says she’s still apprehensive about working with men.

“My younger sister recently told me she wanted to join music and I told her to wait because I fear for her," she said in an interview back in August. 

Landa, who previously worked under Pallaso, is currently managed by Roger Kitaka, popularly known as DJ Roja.
