"Ooh... The money was a lot," said Pounds while appearing on Talk and Talk Show recently.

The Taala hitmaker said it was Eddy Kenzo who gave the producers of the show her phone number.

This was a good deal for Pounds, considering it came during the Covid-19 lockdown when artistes were not performing at shows.

During the same show, the songstress revealed that she was at Daddy Andre's studio at around 3am to record her latest single titled Yo Body.

This confirmed the rumours that Andre prefers recording in the wee hours of the night.

The diva, whose real name is Tracy Kirabo, said the producer, who also goes by Andre on the Beat, wrote the song and invited her to sing it

The Tupaate hitmaker said she visited his studio multiple times to complete the song and they would only record late in the the night.

Yo Body, which is a groovy jam, is among new Ugandan songs that are doing well.

Meanwhile, Pia Pounds co-founded a record label named Africa Bureau of Music (ABM) which manages her artistry work.

Her biggest breakthrough was Tupaate, which was released in September 2020 and became a massive hit in April 2021, earning her a gig with Netflix.

Her relationship with Kenzo also goes way back as she was part of his record label Big Talent Entertainment for a while.
