A collabo with Bobi Wine that drew Gloria Mutoni to Nubian Li

When she was a student at Makerere University, Nubian Li and Bobi Wine came together to release Ghetto, a politically-inspired with a call to action message.

"We come to express exactly what’s on the poor man’s mind," goes part of the song.

According to Nubian Li, Mutoni saw him from the video of the song and liked him.

"It's that song that made this woman love me and we met. She was staying in a hostel along Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road," said Li in a video seen by this reporter.

Li said up to now it's her favourite song.

"We record a song called Ghetto and it's my wife's favourite," he said. "She says she saw me from the video of that song."

Nubian Li and Gloria Mutoni were wedded in October 2021. Bobi Wine was the best man while his wife, Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi, was the matron.

Mutoni is Feffe Bussi's sister. It's Li who introduced Bussi to the music industry when he took him to Fire Records and he met Nessim, then a protege of Tony Houls. They recorded a duet titled Summertime and they have since worked on several projects together.

Pretty Pretty, a remix of King Saha's song -- which was produced by Nessim, is now the most viewed on Bussi's YouTube channel. Bussi and Saha released the remix on October 13 and the video, which was filmed by Jahlive, has over 1.6 million views.

Meanwhile, Nubian Li and Bobi Wine met when the former was still a university student and doing karaoke in a group called Nubian Squad. Their first duet was titled Aniyaleta Okwagala and it was followed by Adam Ne Kaawa.
