But as he was working with Vinka, Kuseim, who had produced Azawi's breakthrough song Quinamino, pointed her to an opportunity.

Speaking to Juliana Kanyomozi recently, the Masavu hitmaker said it's Kuseim who conceived the idea of recording a song with Lizer.

According to her, Kuseim advised her to jump on the opportunity to record a song with the in-house producer for Diamond Platnumz's Wasafi Records.

After the conversation with Kuseim, Azawi called Julius Kyazze to consult and he told her to come up with content that resonates with a "party mood".

When Vinka finished her first session for a break, Azawi entered and they started cooking. They kept on switching sessions until the song was complete.

Party Mood is among the songs on Azawi's African Music album. At 3 million views, it's her third most-watched video on her YouTube channel. The video was filmed by Marvin Musoke.

Ayo Lizer, real name Iraju Hamisi Mjege,  recently produced Big Eye's latest song Mikono Juu.

Before joining Wasafi, Lizer produced songs for prominent Tanzanian artistes, including Mr. Blue, who has a song with Navio titled Ayaya.

Ayo Lizer had relocated to Burundi when he got recognised by Diamond Platnumz who offered to employ him in the studio he was planning to open.

Lizer, who was already making a killing in Burundi, initially declined but the tiny East African nation underwent political unrest, prompting the producer to return home.

He accepted to join Wasafi Records and started producing songs for all artistes under the label, starting with Kwetu by Rayvanny, which became a massive hit.

He has since produced several hit songs, including Hallelujah, Kwangwaru, Jibebe, and the entire album A Boy from Tandale by Diamond Platnumz.
