Jamaica's Kranium to headline Captain Morgan's 'Spice Takeover' experience

Jamaican dancehall star Kranium has been confirmed as the headline act at the launch of the Captain Morgan Spice Takeover. The event is set to premiere in Kampala on 1st November at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds, promising an unforgettable experience for rum enthusiasts and partygoers alike.

Beer makers UBL say the Spice Takeover is designed to celebrate the individuality of each consumer while adding the unique “spice” of Captain Morgan to create a personal connection with the brand.

Known for his popular hits, Kranium is expected to bring an electrifying performance, kicking off the Spice Takeover in style. His live performance is one of the many highlights set to entertain the audience during the debut event.

Judie Nandekya, Brand Manager for Captain Morgan at Uganda Breweries, revealed that the Spice Takeover has been curated to meet the growing demand from consumers for fresh, exciting experiences.

The Spice Takeover is part of Captain Morgan’s global Spice On Campaign, aimed at bringing bold new twists to everyday occasions. We want to elevate how people enjoy their drinks by adding spice through music, fashion, and personal expression,” she said during the launch.

In addition to Kranium’s performance, the event will feature some of Kampala’s top DJs, including Melvyn DJ, DJ Ssese, DJ Bryan, Kash Pro, and Lynda Dane, ensuring a dynamic music line-up. The evening will be hosted by popular emcees Jokwiz and Etania Life of the Party, adding an extra layer of excitement.

Captain Morgan, known for its adventurous spirit, will showcase its new look during the event while keeping the same great taste that consumers love.

Tickets for the Spice Takeover are now on sale online at UGX 80,000 for early bird purchases and UGX 100,000 at the gate, available at www.rave.ug.
