The crooner made the remarks some five months before teaming up with Jowy Landa on their 2023 hit single Twafuna, which was produced by Nessim.
Twafuna, which was released in December 2023, has done pretty well, with its video -- shot by Jahlive, racking up hundreds of thousands of views already.
Vyroota's other duet is Mistake, which he had originally written for Nina Roz and she became flaky.
He ended up singing it with Asha Blessing and it was produced by Urban Beats.
Who is Vyroota?
Vyroota was born in 2003 to a father who hails from Ntungamo in western Uganda. His mother, Benna Namatovu, is a Muganda.
He grew up in Kireka, a township in Wakiso, and one of his boys growing up was the singer Vyper Ranking.
As early as primary school, he realised he had a talent for singing and Junction Walugembe took a flyer on him, and paid for his studio time at Records. He was on Primary Seven vacation.
The song was never released. Love Me Too was the first notable song he made and it was released in 2021.
Ndi Burungi, which was recorded by Urban Beats, was his breakout song. It has no video, but the lyrics one posted on YouTube a year ago, has over 620k views. His most popular song is Risk, released in 2023, and produced by Urban Beats, with a video directed by Sydney Wala.
