Kabako was on Saturday among the acts that performed at Gravity Omutujju's concert, which Barugahara organised.
Events promoter Balaam Barugahara said musicians like Roden Y Kabako and Winnie Nwagi need metallic stages because the energy they use can't be supported by wooden boards.
During his performance, the Sabisubira singer fell through the stage and sustained injuries. He blamed Barugahara for poor planning.
"In Uganda, we don't have enough equipment. We have good musicians, but we lack good equipment. You come looking for a crane to lift you into space, but you can't find it," he told reporters after his performance.
"We don't have enough equipment. I saw Balaam saying that he got in touch with Silk Events and they contacted another... we can't work if you don't know how much food Kabako ate, and where he is going to pass. I found myself sinking through the stage," he went on.
Nwagi also broke a stage while performing in Mbarara recently. Citing that incident, Kabako said organisers need to up their game.
"I'm scared because Winnie Nwagi's incident was not so scary because only the leg slipped through, but for me, the whole body broke through the stage... I was finished," he announced.
"To promoters, this is life [showing swollen injured arm. This is blood. Promoters do serious work... I didn't enjoy it."
Balaam Barugahara, who noted he loves Kabako, said promoters need to look into better stages, but noted that he needs to cut down the "madness".
"I call upon fellow events promoters, Kabako needs a stage made of concrete... because he will always destroy boards. Musicians that have energy like Kabako, Nwagi,... Coco Finger... They need metallic stages, real metals, not boards, the kind they used to construct the railway line,... or get concrete... that's what we shall start doing for them," he said.
"We feel sorry for you, if you feel pain, we hope that you recover... The stage broke because people were many and because of leaning against the stage, they move the boards. So, Kabako, we pray that you get better… but reduce on the madness," he added.
According to Barugahara, incidents of stages breaking mid-performance are not only specific to Uganda, giving an example when Diamond Platinumz fell through the stage while performing in a town in Tanzania in 2018.
