“The problem is that people love gossiping. We didn't chase anyone. She just decided to leave, and if someone has decided to leave, there is nothing that you can do to keep that person. So, if they have decided to leave, you let them go,” Chandiru said while appearing on Sanyuka TV.
Jackie Chandiru dismissed rumours that she connived with Lillian Mbabazi to kick Cinderella Sanyu, alias Cindy, out of Blu*3.

Speaking on the three divas reuniting for a project, Chandiru said they sat down and addressed their grievances and they are open to working together again. But she was quick to add that nothing has materialised yet.
"I’m not saying it’s official, but what I can tell you we sat as a group because by the time we went solo, we had issues as individuals… We… listened to each other’s grievances and harmonised... we sorted everything out. We are now old women. [Cindy was 17; Lillian, 19; and Jackie, 18 when they started singing together.]” she said.
"What I can tell you is one thing, we… discussed that if we are meant to work together again, none of us has a problem. If Lillian calls me right now and says, Jackie let's go and work with Cindy, I will not refuse because we sorted our issues out. But in case it happens, we shall shut down a few people,” the 37-year-old diva said.
"You've seen Cindy on stage, you know me, you know Lillan... you put the three of us, for example in the studio, what do you expect?”
Cindy did not pick calls when this reporter reached out for comment but in a previous conversation she said the reunion would be great to officially say bye to fans and it (a reunion) also makes for good business.
When Cindy left the group in 2008, four years after forming it, Mya Baganda was picked to replace her.
Asked if she had talked to her, Chandiru said they haven’t talked for a while but she knows from third party information that she is fine.
Mya "is alive and happily married," she said, "I have taken long" without talking to her; "I don't want to lie... but I know she is very fine. Because I hear... I've also not been in Uganda for a while, but I know she is fine.”
Upcoming projects
The ‘Gold Digger’ confirmed that she’s working on new projects with her new management Nyumba256 Music and she’s optimistic about the product.
"Of course, I'm cooking something. A star doesn't die. When God gives you something... God gave me a gift so I'm not going to let it go like that,” she said. "Definitely I am working on something and I will deliver
Drug abuse
The ‘Kwata’ singer said that it’s pethidine that took a toll on her mental health, and not mariujana.
"It kills the pain, but it has other side effects; sleeping a lot, being euphoric... I got addicted to it,” she explained.
A quick Google search shows that other side effects of the synthetic opioid include lightheadedness, sedation, dizziness, sweating, hallucinations, constipation, nausea and vomiting.
Jackie Chandiru said that she’s open to talking to people undergoing similar challenges, but they shouldn’t expect a how-to-quit guide from her because she quit out of resoluteness.
