Some of us have seen society and the things that come with marriage…I have seen my friends and sisters who are in marriage and realised there is nothing in there for me,” she said.

For me, I have reached a point where I would rather have a partner with whom we are in love, we understand each other and are happy….If he is so good, he can come to my place and do those good things to me and go back.

There is so much peace with you being there and I am here.

Kasita, a mother of one, has mostly kept her love life from the public, despite being incessantly linked with rapper Feffe Bussi.

She says her own life experiences have taught her much about men.

Having lived for some time with a man, she says, she realised how dangerous marriage and cohabiting can be.

Although the man was not physically abusive, Kasita says she went through great trouble with him.

The talented singer now encourages young women to work hard, buy land and build their own homes before considering marriage.

She believes it is safer to have a fall back position in case things do not work out.
