Navio promises energetic show as he celebrates 20 years of music

Hip-hop legend Navio is set to celebrate two decades in the music industry on Saturday, September 2 at the Kampala Sheraton Gardens in a show dubbed '20 Years of Navio'.

Navio has consistently pushed boundaries across genres over the past 20 years, seamlessly blending genres like hip-hop, Afrobeat and Kadongo Kamu.

The event, produced by Talent Africa Group, will take concertgoers on a captivating journey through Navio's musical evolution, as he performs a harmonious mix of timeless classics and contemporary gems.

The stage will serve as a canvas for the past and present to intertwine, highlighting Navio's artistic evolution and his unique ability to resonate with diverse audiences.

The event is being sponsored by Stanbic Bank, FlexiPay, Hennessy, Pepsi Max, NBS TV, Afro Mobile, Sheraton Hotel, Talent Africa Group and 106.5 NRG RADIO

The sponsors say they share a common vision of promoting Ugandan arts and culture on a global scale and the night promises a symphony of sights and sounds, featuring electrifying performances by Uganda's preeminent artists.

'20 Years of Navio' transcends being a mere concert; it is a tribute to Navio's legacy and the culmination of years of innovation, artistry, and dedication.

In a joint press statement, David Kakonge, the Hennesy country representative, said: "As the globally renowned cognac brand, Hennessy, had previously sponsored the iconic 50-year celebrations of Hip-Hop, it now proudly extends its partnership to commemorate Navio's impressive 20-year journey in a similar spirit of celebration."

Sean Prizzy, a presenter at 106.5 NRG Radio, said: Despite being a newcomer, NRG Radio embraces a disruptive approach as a brand and recognizes Navio as a perfect embodiment of its values. Eager to be a part of the celebration of 20 historical years, NRG Radio is excited about contributing to the magic come 2nd of September.

Navio started professional music as a teenager in a group called Klear Kut that he started with friends.
