Nina Roz talks drug withdrawal, pregnancy rumours

The talented songstress born Nina Kankunda says the effects of drug withdrawal included an array of body changes that even fooled her fans into thinking she was pregnant.

During that process, you can easily gain weight,” said said in a recent interview.

When you are on drugs, it is almost impossible to look good physically. So, when you stop using the body is returning its functionality and it can easily pick up some weight.

That is what people saw and thought I was pregnant,” she explained.

The Billboard Kipande singer struggled with addiction, which became public information around 2020.

She was reported to have struggled to quit although she repeatedly denied relapsing.

Drug withdrawal occurs when a person abruptly reduces or stops intake of a substance they are dependent on.

Symptoms can vary widely based on the drug, duration of use, and individual health, but commonly include anxiety, mood swings, nausea, sweating, and severe cravings.

The intensity and duration of withdrawal can make it a challenging and potentially dangerous period, especially without medical supervision.

Withdrawal not only affects the individual physically and psychologically but can also impact their social interactions and overall ability to function.

Four years down the road, however, Roz has turned the corner.

She recently even announced plans to join politics to serve the people of her home district of Sembabule in 2026.

She hopes to secure the party flag of the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) for the district woman representative race.
