Nywamu” translation 'drink' is a party song celebrating the briefness of life and its challenges that keep us going anyway. The afro-dancehall tune is a breath of fresh air after the suffocating pressure of the past two years of the pandemic and lockdown, with a message to take life as simply as possible but not to take for granted any moment.

Sasha Vybz is behind the videography, capturing the soothing sound of producers Nessim and Artin Pro in beautiful visuals, enjoyment choreography and youthful costumes perfectly executing the fun party theme. The video starts with a throwback to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and transitions into a basketball court session of aerobics and somersaulting in energetic moves. Sasha employs graphics to mimic a space car that communicates well the cloudy feeling the bridge in the song induces.

The song is not only a call to get on the dancefloor, like so many of the singer’s tunes, but an invitation to do so with purpose and to the fullest understanding that nothing exists between this moment of joy and the many challenges that are littered all around the listener’s life. Guilt over having fun is not an option.

For all the love you’ve given me my lovely people, my family, my team, my management, all media houses, promoters, Djs, bloggers, and lastly, thank you God.”

The birthday girl dedicates this song to the fans, family and media houses that have surrounded her with support and unfailing love combined with her creative work ethic all of which have made for a flourishing career.
