For Juliana Kanyomozi, he started with Nabikoowa, which gave her a breakthrough as a solo artiste.

She had already made a name, having done her breakthrough song with Bobi Wine but this proved she could do carry a song alone.

Kanyomozi had already been working with Steve Jean who invited Kyagulanyi to pen the hit song.

"There is a way God does his things. He brings Sylver Kyagulanyi into my life. I already had Steve Jean," she said in an interview.

"I sat and he sampled it... I just got goosebumps. I looked at this guy and wondered, how do you write a song like that? And I knew there and then that I would deliver."

They went on to record a whole album.

At the time she was working at Capital FM and when the Nabikoowa became a hit, she quit.

The singer-lawyer has also written classics for Iryn Namubiru (Nkuweki, Nsonyiwa, Nkwagala Nyoo & Omukwano Gwaffe), Blu*3 (Nsanyuka Nawe, Mutima Gwange, Ndibeera Nawe & Nzijukira), Desire Luzinda (Baswaze), Obsessions (Jangu & Weekume) and Mariam Ndagire (Kiki Onvuma).

He also co-wrote Basima Ogenze & Befula with Jose Chameleone and Tulikubunkenke with Ronald Mayinja.

In 2006, Kyagulayni wrote Ndi Mukazi for Sarah Zawedde, and about two decades later, it still has a cutesy and mellow vibe that transcends most songs released by women recently.

The song was produced at Good Enuff, the studio owned by the Ngoni singing duo.
