On Wednesday, December 6, Lilian Mbabazi took to social media to reveal that the trio will be performing in a show dubbed The Blu3 Reunion on the aforementioned date at the Protea Hotel Kampala Skyz in Naguru, Kampala.

"The wait is over, music lovers! I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the news - the legendary all-female Ugandan music powerhouse, BLU3 is coming together in an EXCLUSIVE performance on the 14th of December 2023," posted Mbabazi on Instagram.

"🌟 Join us as we take the stage by storm, bringing back our heartwarming melodies and unforgettable performances. It’s time to spread the love and make some noise!"

Taking to her Instagram, Chandiru posted: "🎤 Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for! As a proud member of blu3, an extraordinary all-female Ugandan music group, I can't contain my excitement to announce that we're reuniting after over a decade! 🌟 Get ready to witness our sensational comeback on the 14th of December 2023 at the iconic Skyz Hotel Naguru! 🎉"

Cindy Sanyu is yet to post about the show.

The trio met as teenagers during the Coca-Cola Pop Stars and after the competition, the trio, in 2005, teamed up to form Blu*3 under the management of Steve Jean, the legendary producer and owner of Fenon Records.

However, the group didn't last long after Cindy was fired two years later and they brought Mya Baganda to replace her and rebranded to Blu3 (without the asterisk). The new trio was also together for a short while and they decided to go solo.
