Even singers in the countryside are hitting studios to record some mesmerising jams.
It's not only artistes from the central region that are dropping major hits.

Below are some of such songs that have been trending since the start of 2024.
1. Enafuya
Zafaran tapped T Paul, who is based in Mbarara, for the remix of her song Enafuya. The remix, which was produced by Artin Pro, can be danced to and is also a good tune for listening pleasure.
Aaronaire gave it a beautiful video. It's also a love song sung in Luganda, Runyankore, and English. Artin Pro also recorded the original version which was released in June 2023.
2. Ba Boys
Lithan MC (better known as Mukuru We'chaanga) tapped Ambroy and Truth 256 to feature on this banger sung in Runyankore and English.
It's as good to listen to because of the wordplay as it is to dance to. Ba Boys, which was produced by Instramento, has a beautiful video shot by Mr. OSP Nax.
Instramento is also the producer behind Owangye & Muniga (Ambroy), Boot (Ambroy ft. Ivan Clean), To Parte (Starcent DJ & Red ft. Ambroy & Pafbuoyy), Confession (Ivan Clean ft. Shwento Banjo) and Niiwe Wenka (Ivan Clean ft. Agaba Banjo)
3. Omuzaire
Omega 256 started 2024 with a groovy song that was produced by GZ Beats, who also produced Alien Skin’s first song of 2024 titled Guno Omwaka.
It seems musicians are dedicating this year to praising parents, as we’ve already seen similar songs from Vally Music and Gravity Omutujju.
The song is still in audio, with a good video it might become a banger. It is a Runyankore song, making it another big song by a western Uganda artiste, if you also consider the remix of Zafaran’s song by T Paul.
Bonus: Forever
Forever was released on December 22 but it took off in January 2024 after TikTokers jumped on the challenges of the song.
There's a verse by Ray G that has got everyone singing, including those who had never spoken a Runyankore word.
The song, which was produced by Bruno, is sung by Megatone and Ray G.
Its video, shot by Kelon FX, now counts 157k views on YouTube in just one month.
It has helped Megatone who had never uploaded a video that went beyond 5k views.
