Speaking to Gagamel TV, Jazmine, who is set to hold her maiden concert on March 1 at Hotel Africana, was told that her buddy Kenzo has previously said that she used to back him while singing.

The Drum hitmaker paused a bit before saying that she used to record songs from the Big Talent Entertainment studio owned by Kenzo.

Jazmine: Backing him how?

Gagamel: In studio.

Jazmine: In the studio? Ummu... I've used the Big Talent studio before... Eddy Kenzo has a studio, Big Talent; I recorded several songs from there. For instance, Omalawo. Sometimes when I go to the studio, a producer will ask me to add my voice to some projects of other artistes.

Lydia Jazmine said she was officially a back-up singer for Radio and Weasel but she would once in a while take on gigs though she didn't directly answer whether she backed up Kenzo while he was recording songs.

She said some of the other singers who hired her were Sheebah Karungi and Fille Mutoni.

Jazmine was with the Goodlyfe crew when they faced off with Bebe Cool in a musical battle and she backed them up while recording Ntunga, the song that helped Nessim break out as a producer.

She did this while at university and Nessim would be the one to produce her first song You Know (featuring Rabadaba). Nessim and Jazmine met for the first time during the recording of Ntunga.

Lydia Jazmine has said she paid Shs800,000 for the song’s video and 150k to Nessim for the audio. At the time Nessim was a budding producer.
