Navio confirms GNL Zamba didn’t support his Sheraton concert

Rapper Navio has commented about the suspicious cold shoulder he got from fellow legendary rapper GNL Zamba in regard to his just-concluded concert last weekend at the Sheraton Hotel.

Navio and GNL Zamba

Navio, in an unprovoked and rather uncharacteristic move, told his social media followers on Sunday that he did not receive any support, verbal or financial from his old friend GNL.

The rapper, born Daniel Lubwama made the revelation while replying to the concern raised by a fan on social media platform X, about GNL’s noticeable silence about the “20 Years of Navio” concert.

So (GNL Zamba) never pushed (Navio’s) concert on any of his platforms? It sounds funny for the culture right?” posted one X user OJ Kara.

Man this guy is way too full of himself man. I guess it’s the reason you ain’t the best in my world sir.”

Some users advised caution, suggesting that the US-based GNL perhaps supported Navio’s concert financially and not verbally.

What if he bought tables? There are different ways in which people support others,” posted one Adrian Mwesiga.

Navio however, replied to Mwesiga confirming that GNL extended no such support to his show.

He did not,” confirmed the former Klear Kut boss, to the shock of his followers.

GNL had not responded to the post by Monday afternoon. He, however, blocked Kara, who started the conversation.

Navio's revelation could have pulled the curtains off a heather-to-unknown beef between him and GNL.

Both artists are considered legends in the Hip Hop genre in Uganda and East Africa. The two go back nearly two decades.

Navio has talked in the past about helping GNL financially during the start of his career.

In a recent interview, Navio revealed that he met GNL through his friend and singing partner under Klear Kut, The Mith.

He also revealed that he helped GNL Zamba in a number of ways, including paying part of the money that was used to film his 2007 breakthrough song Soda.
