The media conglomerate was rocked with controversy following a mass firing, which left over 30 workers unemployed.

The scandal did not pass quietly, as Next Media proceeded to post all terminated employees on social media, with farewell profiles to match.

Just as the dust was settling, Uncut, a popular gossip program on Sanyuka tv, one of the group’s television channels, has alarmed tweeps after publishing a trail of bizarre awards.

Kapa Cat, Sheebah and Winnie Nwagi shared the spoils for the worst dressed artist of the year.

Fans dashed to the comments section to express dissatisfaction over the proceedings.

According to a one Hassan, something is not right within the park and if recent firings had anything to do with resuscitating operations, then a lot more need to be done.

“There is something wrong with this station. If people were looking for something to cancel, start with this whole station,” he tweeted.

Other fans were alarmed that the page posting the awards was actually the real Sanyuka TV account.

“I had to double check to be sure this was not a parody Sanyuka account. I think the entire NBS and its sister platforms need a factory reset,” tweeted a one Omunyoro.

Seasoned radio guru Kella Mckenzie took to his platform, posted a picture of the awards before asking the powers behind it to do better.

“This here is not good at all. This platform is too powerful to be misused,” he tweeted.

In the comments section, fans shared similar sentiments, questioning, whether the Chief Executive Officer ever notices such proceedings.
