Apecu's insightful words came after the successful pre-marriage ritual known as "anena," which is loosely translated as "the visitation.”
Apecu encouraged Kenzo to concentrate only on his daughter, their marriage, and, most importantly, preserve their strong bond of love and happiness, all the while expressing his respect for Kenzo as a Muslim man.
"Eddy needs to love, care for, and treat my daughter with kindness. My wish would be for them to have a prosperous marriage and a large family. It is the love between them that is important. It is the best thing that they can give us,” he said.
“I have advised him on several many things but the most important is love,” he said.
He added that he is now Kenzo’s number one music fan and mentioned the popular song ‘Weekend’ as his favourite.
Mom speaks out
Meanwhile, Nyamutoro’s mother, Caroline Apecu, alleged her daughter had not known any other man in her life other than Kenzo. She revealed that the lovebirds have been friends for a long time, and they were aware of their relationship.
“We are happy for them as parents. Eddy is the first person she has introduced to us as her man. He has been visiting us at home. She has made us very proud and we’re overjoyed,” she noted.
“Eddy is coming to Nebbi at a later time that we shall communicate.”
Following the successful pre-marriage ceremony, the ground is now set for the grand traditional marriage ceremony known as “Nyom” set to take place in Nebbi district, the ancestral home of Nyamutoro.
Kenzo recently revealed that he has a son with the state minister.
