Rema catches strays as Kenzo continues to fan Nyamutoro rumour mill

Rema Namakula is being sucked into the frenzied speculations about her former man Eddy Kenzo, and Junior Minister of Energy Designate, Phiona Nyamutoro.

After wallowing for years in the shadows of his past relationship with Rema, some fans of Kenzo think he’s finally having his checkmate moment against his ex-lover.

Rumours about Kenzo being involved (and having a child) with the national youth MP, Nyamutoro have had his fans enthralled since late last year.

But her appointment last week as the Minister of State Energy had an even more crazed reaction from the fans.

And while Nyamutoro has come out at least once to deny the relationship, Kenzo chose to let it play out and lately seems happy to even add fuel to the speculation.

Since Nyamutoro’s cabinet appointment on Thursday last week, Kenzo has posted, reposted and commented about her several times across his social media pages, but stopped short of clarifying on their alleged romance.

This Monday morning, a picture of him and Nyamutoro visiting his daughter Maya at school sent social media into postulation overdrive.

But one person who’s been catching strays amid the speculations has been Kenzo’s ex-lover Rema Namakula.

Many of his fans on social media believe he’s finally prevailed over her, following their break-up which became public in 2019.

One fan posted on Facebook contrasting Rema’s current husband, Hamza Sebunya to Kenzo’s supposed new catch, a cabinet minister.

“There is no beating that Rema, I think it's time for you to admit that you have been beaten,” the post read.

Another fan posted, “This is now the woman that will add something to your life, referring to the young minister.

However, some of Rema’s fans leapt in her defence, pointing out that she is happily married and unbothered about any developments in Kenzo’s life.

All in all Rema is happily married to Doctor Ssebunya; the rest is just background noise,” posted one Tabitha.

Others pointed out how a ministerial appointment is temporary, unlike a medical profession which is lifelong.

Nyamutoro appeared this Monday morning along with her fellow nee ministers for vetting before the parliamentary Appointments Committee.
