The singer perished on Friday morning at around 6:00 am in Kyengera on the Kampala-Masaka Road.
He reportedly succumbed to severe injuries after his vehicle, a Toyota Super Custom rammed into a truck.
One of his relatives and fellow artist Abdu Nyugunya told reporters that Deo was driving back home in the early morning when he met his fate.
According to eyewitnesses, the singer was able to pull himself out of the wrecked car after a head-on collision with the semi-truck, and even remarked about how he survived the crash.
The injuries, however, proved fatal as he was confirmed dead moments later.
Both vehicles were towed to Kyengera Police Station while the body was commuted by police for postmortem.
Deo was a member of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
As such, Eddy Kenzo, the federation president has assumed the preparations for the funeral which are kicking off with a vigil at the National Theater.
Baby Deo rose to fame for some of his educative and captivating songs such as “Bwondekawo” “Kampuni Ya Muno,” and “Wrong Number,” among others.
