The baby boy named Omara Seth Arwota was only two weeks old.
“With much regret, we would like to inform the general public that Opoka Eric Eezzy and Kimberly have lost their born baby Omara Seth Arwota. we ask for your prayers,” read a post shared on Opoka’s Instagram page.
Eezzy, who is known mostly for his hit song “Tumbiza Sound” which came out during the Covid19 pandemic, is 24 years old.
He and his fiancé Kimberly welcomed their son just two weeks ago.
While trumpeting the exciting news to his fans, Eezzy described it as “the biggest blessing of my life.”
“A father is what you have entrusted me with and I’ll be that and more to our beautiful child. Thank you for gifting me this bundle of joy and happiness. Welcome to this world my son,” remarked the artist.
It was unclear by Monday afternoon what caused the death of the newborn as the singer had yet to share more details about his passing.
Eezzy and Kimberly have been together since 2020.
Just recently in March this year, she officially introduced him to her family at a traditional function known as “okugamba obugyenyi.”
