Music producer Viboyo, a man who closely knew and worked with the late Radio, is using this week's anniversary of the singer's death to deliver a powerful message to young artists: walk the straight path.
Today marks 6 years since Ugandan legendary musician Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio passed away.

In a YouTube interview, Viboyo reflects on Mowzey's undeniable talent. "He was one of the most gifted we've ever seen," he says, his voice thick with emotion. "We miss him dearly."
Radio, tragically passed away on February 1, 2018, leaving a void in the Ugandan music industry.
Viboyo, while reflecting on the late singer's exceptional talent, described him as one of the most gifted individuals Uganda has ever seen.
But nostalgia isn't the only ingredient in Viboyo's message. He delves into the circumstances surrounding Mowzey's tragic 2018 death, a bar brawl that ended in a fatal brain injury.
"Some things are avoidable," he emphasizes. "As artists, as young people, we have to learn from this."
Viboyo's advice is twofold. He urges young artists to prioritize good company.
“Some things are avoidable and we as artists and as young people should try and avoid them,” he said.
“Let us always try to walk straight paths with the right people and avoid some of these challenges because at times things happen and we say that was the will of God, when in reality it is something we could have avoided.”
On the other hand, the producer touched on the importance of maintaining healthy relationships within the industry.
"As young people, let’s learn to fear some people because when you have that sense of fear, it will keep you grounded," he urged.
While not explicitly mentioning specific incidents, it is evident that Viboyo believes in the significance of being cautious and discerning in one's interactions within the entertainment sphere.
Viboyo, born Andrew Johnstone Mujungu, is a respected figure in the Ugandan music scene.
As a record producer, singer, and songwriter, he has made significant contributions to the industry. His collaboration with Mowzey Radio produced hits that became anthems, showcasing the synergy between the two talents.
