He says he has been frustrated by State House which has denied him an audience with the Head of State.

When he last met the president a few years ago, Kats says he shared with him his strategy that entails combating the epidemic from the grassroots.
The president, he says, took his contact and promised to schedule another meeting, yet four years down the road he still awaits the call.

“My strategy was to go to schools, bodabodas, universities and other places to take this message,” Kats said in a livestream on Monday morning.
The media personality and emcee fears that Uganda is unlikely to hit targets in fighting HIV because time is running out,
President Museveni in 2017 launched an AIDS fast-track initiative to end the epidemic by 2030.
The government through this initiative hopes to wipe out nearly 28 million new HIV infections and 21 million AIDS-related deaths.
“The end of HIV target is 2030…we need to be on the ground now,” Kats said.
The good fight
Kats – a self-professed HIV patient, says he has single-handedly managed to reach out to so many patients, some of whom he has strengthened and encouraged to fight on.
“I am constantly on my phone replying to people who are trying to commit suicide, those who are tired of taking their medicine, they are thanking me,” he said.
“I don't need a Heroes Day accolade, it won't add anything to my life…I don't need money either. I need to save my children.”
MC Kats has lived with the virus for 15 years, although five of his six children are negative.
