Big Tril's former manager 'Striker' passes, Leila Kayondo mourns

Rapper Big Tril's former manager John Obas Isokpehi of Striker Entertainment has passed away. The Nigerian CEO was based in Munyonyo. A number of artists have mourned the loss along with singer Leila Kayondo who shared a close relationship with him.

Isokpehi signed Big Tril, real name Rowland Raymond Kaiza when the then-upcoming rapper left Baboon Forest Entertainment. In some of the pictures Kayondo has shared, she and Big Tril are seen in the late's company.

According to Kayondo, she had just communicated over the weekend when the tragic news broke. Kayondo has poured and pondered on Isokpehi's death expressing her grief.

"I still want to believe am dreaming! Been trying to call your phone thinking you will pick and say my Kayoyo ! like you been calling me ….it’s a prank 🙏💔 can’t believe you are gone Striker. We just talked last Friday. You we’re Ok my boss. I don’t want to write RIP Striker 💔💔💔💔 thank you so much for believing in Uganda & Nigerian talents. Whoever knows you can testify. Isokpehi, who was also known as The Prince of Island, has been a force in the Ugandan music industry. In a 2018 interview with Sahara Weekly, he said, "The passion for music, I love music but I may not have the voice. The music Industry is the biggest in the world and I’m contributing my quota at home and abroad. So far you are an African with talent Striker Entertainment will find you and help you make life out of your talent. Government can’t do everything so we just must look for a way to strike the balance."

John Obas Isokpehi popularly known as 'striker' was born on 17th July 1977 to the family of the Late Mr & Mrs Isokpehi at Owan west local government Area in Edo State, Nigeria.
