Ric Hassani to headline SHONALE

Nigerian artiste, Ric Hassani, will be in Kampala this weekend. The music sensation is set to headline the return of the Shorts Na Leesu (SHONALE) Music Festival, happening this Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds

A melting pot of African and urban culture, Shorts Na Lesu, aka Shonale, promises to be a grand opener for Kampala's 2024 party calendar. The festival lineup includes talents like, Elijah Kitaka, Joshua Baraka, Mike Mungu and more.

In a press briefing, I&M Bank Uganda was unveiled as the headline sponsor for the first edition of 2024. Annette Nakiyaga, the bank's Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Shonale, emphasising the opportunity to engage customers and the community in a lively setting outside the conventional banking hall.

Nakiyaga highlighted the event's potential to showcase the benefits of the I&M Bank Mastercard cards. "Shonale presents us a chance to engage a wider audience and show them firsthand the convenience and benefits that come with the new I&M Bank Mastercard cards," she stated, adding that a dedicated tent would be available for customers to learn about the bank's products and services.

Ric Hassani, a household name since his debut in 2017 with "The African Gentleman" album, has become synonymous with hits like "Gentleman," "Aminah," "Ngozi," "The One," "Only You," and "My Baby." With nominations at prestigious awards like the All Africa Music Awards and The Headies, Hassani's musical prowess has garnered international acclaim, with performances in various countries, including France, Cameroon, the United States, Honduras, Malawi, Mauritius, and South America.

In anticipation of his performance in Uganda, Hassani took to Twitter, urging fans to seize the opportunity: "Uganda, don't be shy alright? Get your tickets and come out. There's ABSOLUTELY NO ONE who brings what I bring on stage, no one. And this is a fact."
