While unveiling the daycare, Vinka said, "After I gave birth two years ago, I had to get back to work and make ends meet. This meant me having to improvise either to go to work with the baby or get someone to stay with her. This is when I thought of the number of mothers that have to get back to work and don’t have many to trust with their babies."
Vinka has unveiled her awaited children's daycare Veneva Little Kids Daycare. The children's haven was unveiled on Mother's Day after four months in the making. As we explore the daycare, we have also consulted with parenting experts to see how busy parents can cope with leaving their children at daycare.
She added, "So early this year I decided to start up a daycare and homelike environment for the little ones Between 3 months and 3 years. A home with well-trained staff where any mother or parent will go to work, shopping and be content that their baby is safe."
How to cope with leaving your child at daycare
This editor approached In The Know about the challenges parents face when parental leave is over. Going back to work can be hard because it can bring up feelings of guilt, and separation anxiety when leaving the baby at daycare.
However, this transition for both child and parent is usually temporary. This is why it is important to make it as smooth as possible for both parent and child to avoid making it harder.

Get into a routine
Creating a routine for your child gives him or her a sense of security because they can predict what is coming next. If you create a fun morning routine that soothes him or her, filled with fun actions and expressions, it can help make the transition from home to daycare easier.
Give your child reassurance
Give your child as much reassurance as possible that you will return before you leave. According to experts, it is better to tell the child how long you will be away from each other using simple concepts they can understand. You can use mealtimes to give them a sense of how long you will be apart. This sets expectations and fosters trust between you and your child.

Keep goodbyes short and sweet
Separation can be stressful but it is important to not linger and make it worse. Be strong and calm when you are leaving your child. You can watch them out of sight for a few moments but don't go back before the set time, even when you forget something.
It is okay to check in
If it makes you feel better, contact the daycare centre for updates. This can give you a sense of comfort. It also builds a good relationship with the childcare providers which ultimately brings you to feel less anxious about how your child is spending his or her days.
Practice leaving your child at daycare
You can start preparing for daycare by leaving your child with a relative or someone you trust. Leave them for short periods of time to get used to the feelings of being apart.
