Drone-shot pictures show the massive turn up for Purple Party in Hoima at Boma Grounds. The family-friendly event kicked off at 9 am and was a full house by sundown.
Media personality MC Kats has left fans concerned and confused over a caption he wrote in celebration of the success of Purple Party in Hoima. The caption was addressed to President Museveni and first son Muhoozi Kainerugaba. Kats was in Hoima over the weekend for Purple Party and apparently had something to prove to the first family.
Tickets ranged from Shs5,000 to Shs300,000 for a helicopter ride, something that Kats boasted about in his caption saying that "we let Hoima Bomba grounds tell 30k people yet they paid not for free".
It is not clear whether he meant that the organisers let the venue set the price and the people still paid or if he meant that there were 30k people in attendance and each person paid to attend the event.
"Yooo the problem is you underestimate us @MkainerugabaQuo @KagutaMuseveni but our numbers don’t lie n yes we too Big Brands in this country @DouglasLwangaUg @dvjmercypro @DjRoja we let Hoima Bomba grounds tell 30k pple yet they paid not for free," he captioned the pictures of the big crowd.

The road to the event wasn't just a phrase for MC Kats. The TV host hit the road in the company of friends for a road trip to Hoima. Hoima was a spectacle of the media personalities Douglas Lwanga, and Kats, among others. The activations took the city by storm until Saturday.
