Media Personality Isaac Kaiyz Kawalya survives accident

At the time of the accident, Kawalya was traveling to Sembabule yesterday evening for an event with his brother, who is only identified as Abel.

“God has blessed Kaiyz and the brother Abel with another chance to live after surviving an accident as they were heading to Ssembabule, Mateete for a music show,” Kawalya's social media administration posted on his social media channels.

However, it is reported that the two did not sustain fatal injuries and are currently receiving medical attention.

It's said that Kawalya was behind the wheel and lost control of the vehicle around Matete on Masaka road, which sent it careening off the road into the sidewalk. The windshield was damaged beyond repair and pictures of the scene show a bleeding hand from one of the passengers.

'Massacre' road

The infamous Kampala-Masaka road is known as the most road accident-prone road structure in Uganda. This 103 Billion Shillings structure sees around 300 people meet their demise on due to speeding, overloading, poor traffic rules observation and a slow justice system.

This highway has been dubbed "death trap" and it has left authorities playing the blame game amongst road safety organisations. Although locals along the highway claim supernatural activity, the poor topography in certain areas ranks high in the causes of these accidents.

Kawalya recently completed his university studies and shared his graduation photos on his social media thanking God for the achievement.
