Netizens concerned over Desire Luzinda and daughter 3 hours drive to school

Mother and daughter have come under scrutiny following a clip in which Desire Luzinda expressed gratitude for Michelle Kaddu's offer to let her rest. Luzinda was supposed to drive Kaddu to school but was too tired for the three-hour drive. Despite making the wise choice to not drive while exhausted, the safer option left netizens concerned.

18-year-old Kaddu got behind the wheel to take over from her tired mother. According to the National Library of Medicine, six or seven hours of sleep pose a 30 per cent increase in the likelihood of a crash. Driving performance decreases drastically with four or five hours of sleep compared to well-rested individuals. Notably, drowsiness slows your reaction time to steer or brake suddenly.

Lucky for the tired singer, Kaddu is able to drive so she only had to drive the car back home.

"Was so exhausted yet had to drive 3hrs to her school . She said ,’mama, just rest I will drive . ‘ she got us there safe and I had drive sleepy me back," she captioned the video.

However, in the video, Kaddu seems to be multitasking driving and checking her phone. This sparked concern about phone use on the road.
