Over 100,000 people are expected to be in attendance at the Kololo Independence Grounds including army veterans and their families, political, religious and cultural leaders, diplomats, students, and youth leaders, market vendors, ghetto youths, and different pressure groups among others.

At the same venue, the highly anticipated concert battle between artists Sheebah Karungi and Cindy Ssanyu will be held a week after the presidential birthday party. The mid-month battle has divided fans and stirred the music industry since it was announced in August.

To close the eventful month, musician David Lutalo will hold his concert on September 29.
