With the current 11th Parliament embroiled in corruption and office abuse allegations, some Ugandans are even floating the idea of returning the former speaker.
“At this point, it's only Mama Kadaga that can save this parliament,” wrote one Okello Omweri on Monday.
Another user on X wrote, “Hon. Kadaga will always be the most respected and loved speaker of Uganda's Parliament.”
With mounting pressure on her reign, Speaker Among last weekend turned guns on her predecessor, Kadaga, accusing her of being behind the ongoing public pressure on the 11th parliament.

Addressing the people of Buyende at a public event, Among referred to Kadaga as an “old woman” fighting her.
“Those who are fighting us are fighting you and it's high time we chased away those old women because they want to cause us problems," Among said.
"They want us to remain poor whereas Kamuli (Kadaga’s home district) is getting developed."
It should be noted however, that earlier during a parliamentary debate last week, Speaker Among blamed her woes on homosexual lobby groups, which she said were unhappy with her support for the anti-homosexuality law.
Among has also claimed to have the full support of President Museveni and vowed not to step down from the speakership despite numerous calls to.
