DPP sanctions murder charges against Henry Katanga’s wife Molly

Additionally, the DPP has authorized the charge of destroying evidence against family members Patricia Kakwanza and Nkwanzi Martha Katanga for tampering with evidence at the scene of the crime.

On top of this, Abodo approved the charge of Accessory After the Fact of Murder against Amanyire George and Otai Charles for aiding the suspects in evading punishment.

Following the murder of Katanga Henry, investigations guided by the Prosecution within the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) have been ongoing.

The ODPP spokesperson said investigations so far have led to findings strong enough to warrant arrests of all the said suspects.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court to be informed of the charges, except for Katanga Molly and Nkwanzi Martha Katanga, who are still in the hospital.

Katanga, a businessman and military contractor was found dead in his bedroom early this month at his residence in Mbuya, with a bullet wound on his head.

His wife Molly Katanga, who was with him in the bedroom when a gunshot was heard by family members, also suffered severe injuries to the head and was rushed for treatment.
