Ex-Minister Irene Muloni’s husband Felix Muloni passes on

Muloni passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 22, according to family members.

The deceased was the husband of former Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. Eng. Irene Muloni. Hon Muloni is currently the district woman MP for Bulambuli.

The couple have been married for the past 35 years.

The cause of Mr Muloni’s his demise was described as "natural causes" by the family, while details about the burial arrangements are to be communicated.

The news of his passing sent shockwaves across the eastern region.

Mr. Muloni was described by friends and local leaders as a humble man that was free of intrigue.

“He was upright Umumasaaba, a free and humble man, who never bragged of being rich. He worked with all classes,” remarked Mbale Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Ahamada Washaki.

Mr. and Mrs. Muloni recently celebrated the marriage of their son Barry Muloni who exchanged marital vows with his lover Tisha Mpereize.

At their earlier marriage anniversary celebration which was attended by President Yoweri Museveni and his wife Janet, Hon Muloni Mrs. described her husband as a good father who took care of their family when she was involved in political work and national duties.

She further described her husband as hard-working, selfless, committed, and very understanding who gave her all the support she needed at all times.

Mr. Felix Muloni said that their marriage had survived because they were selfless and loved each other unconditionally. He said that they shared their day-to-day life openly and constantly reminded themselves of their marriage vows.
