Since April this year, the king has been getting treatment at the Okonguarri Psychotherapeutic Centre in Namibia’s northwestern region of Kunene.
The Kingdom, however, is now concerned that the monarch has not been able to enjoy a peace of mind ever since his location was made public last month.
The heath facility has reportedly been bombarded with phone calls from Ugandans who want to know about the health of the King.
Last month, the Namibian government was forced to disclose the hospital where the Kabaka was getting treatment.
This was after a group of Buganda royalists stormed the Namibian Embassy in Germany with a petition inquiring about the health and safety of the King.
HE Martin Andjaba, the Namibian Ambassador in Berlin in response, dismissed reports that the king had been “detained,” adding that those who wished to visit him would be allowed if they met the necessary requirements.
Privacy
Sources from the Kingdom revealed last weekend that since then, the Kabaka has not been able to enjoy any privacy as the health facility kept getting calls from Uganda.
As such, the decision has reportedly been made to move him to another country where he can get stress-free treatment.
“The Kabaka needs more privacy as he recovers. He is okay but needs to have a good rest,” one source from the kingdom administration was quoted by media.
“That is why they are going to move him [away from Okonguarri].”
It is said that the King might be moved by the end of this week.
It is also reported that a group of clan leaders was scheduled to visit him this coming week but we have been told that the visit has been stopped.
